🔥 Drumsticks on potatoes with cheese and bacon

The drumsticks are prepared in a unique way: they're draped over halved potatoes, wrapped in smoky bacon, and placed on a layer of spicy Gouda. This dish is perfect for anyone with a passion for cheese and who appreciates juicy chicken.

Ingredients:

  • Drumsticks (chicken drumsticks)
  • Rub of your choice
  • Large potatoes
  • Bacon
  • Gouda, grated
  • Preparation:

  • Marinate the drumsticks with a rub of your choice.
  • Halve the potatoes lengthwise.
  • Insert 3 toothpicks into each halved potato.
  • Roll up the bacon and place it on the toothpicks.
  • Cover the baking dish with about 1.5 cm of grated Gouda.
  • Place the prepared potatoes in the dish, place the marinated drumsticks on top and spread them out.
  • Grilling:

  • Prepare the grill for 180 degrees indirect heat.
  • If possible, place a second deflector disc under the baking dish.
  • Grill the drumsticks for about 45–60 minutes until they are nice and juicy.
  • 🍄 Stuffed mushrooms with pecans and French soft cheese

    These mushrooms are a perfect complement to the drumsticks. Filled with creamy soft cheese, nutty pecans, and a hint of garlic, they're simply irresistible!

    Ingredients:

  • 12 large mushrooms
  • 100 g French soft cheese
  • 50 g cream cheese
  • 50 g chopped pecans
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnishing
  • Preparation:

  • Clean the mushrooms, remove the stems and chop finely.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan, fry onion and garlic, add chopped mushroom stems and fry until the liquid has evaporated.
  • Remove from heat, stir in soft cheese, cream cheese, and chopped pecans. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Fill the mushroom heads generously with the filling.
  • About 15 minutes before the end of the drumstick grilling time, place the mushrooms in the indirect heat and bake until golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
