Barbecuing in the heat – tips, tricks & recipes for hot summer days

Summer time is grilling time – but at 30°C in the shade, even the most ambitious pitmaster starts sweating. To make your BBQ enjoyable despite the heat, you primarily need one thing: the right setup, good preparation, and light, fresh ideas.

1. The best grilling time: early or late

You should avoid the midday heat – your grilled items will thank you. Ideal times are early evening or a cozy BBQ brunch in the shade. Use the time when the garden is still pleasantly warm and guests remain relaxed.

2. Stylish setup: shade, cooling & tools

A sun sail or pavilion not only protects you but also your ingredients. Drinks belong in the ice bucket, the Chef board or Pitmaster Board on a solid, easily accessible table. Our sturdy wooden board collection provides not only functionality but also style.

3. BBQ ideas for hot days

Instead of heavy roasts or thick cuts, we recommend light, quick-to-grill dishes – aromatic, fresh, and versatile. Here are three summer BBQ recipes for hot days:
